seniors, can you believe schools starts in less than a month? there is so much to think about this year...what are classes going to be like, who's gonna ask me to homecoming, am i going to get accepted to that school, where's the best place to go for my senior pictures? well...let me help you out. classes are going to be so much fun (they are your last with your best friends). homecoming dance will be a blast no matter who you are with. whatever college you get accepted to, you will rock it. and senior pictures....studio joy photography. we are so excited for this year's seniors. we are full of new, edgy, sassy ideas and can't wait to put them to action. we have 3 different senior selection packages to choose from. thursday august 11 we are having a 12 hour senior sale where you can come with your friends, get your picture taken to use as a new facebook profile pic and enter in our drawings just for booking your appointment.

fairy tale

okay so if you haven't been keeping up with one of my favorite shows let me get you up to speed. the boy, brad, was the bachelor for the 2nd time. yes, i said 2nd time. everybody deserves another chance...right? the girl, emily, is GORGEOUS and kind and a mother. she, like everyone, has her own story having been through loosing the love of her life at a young age in a plane crash and then just a couple days later finding out that she was pregnant. so they are on the show the bachelor and fall in love. tonight when he proposed to her it was perfect. such a great ending/new beginning to her fairy tale. life...is not a fairy tale but i do believe we make & live in our own tales. might not be so perfect at times, but it is what it is and WE are the ones who can make it fairy like :) congrats to  brad & emily. wish you all the best <3

last week courtney came to the studio for the first half of her senior shoot. by the looks of her images you would never know she was nervous...she was a pro :) we had tons of fun!!!

<3 at first sight

do you believe in love at fist sight? you hear about it all the time in movies but does it really happen? last week while out shopping, it happened. out on display by the window with the sun shining in to light them oh so perfectly. staring right at me....a pair of royal blue calvin klein heels. i knew they had to be mine. unfortunately for me they didn't have my size :( but, with abit of searching and a little fate....i have once again found them online where i can find the perfect fit!

january 2011 is the start of a new year. here at photography by misty it means more than just going from 10 to 11. with the studio in high demand, this quickly turned in to a business that needed a partner. someone to help push the studio to new limits and take on all the task that a mutual partner can do. after a couple months of planning we are so proud to announce misty king & danielle harden, co-owners of studio joy photography ltd.

we are excited to be starting the transition from photography by misty to studio joy photography ltd. we have so many new, fresh, fun ideas in store and hope that you will be following us along every step of the way.
  

 

senior 2012

last week we went over all of this year's new ideas. one that i am very excited about is what we have in store for our seniors. we have these new awesome portfolios that you get to pick your top 25 images to be included in. this is used for others to view your pictures and after you order....it's yours to keep. for fb users, we will put together a video of your images and upload it to your profile along with 2-3 images of your choice. we also have great offers like custom gelaskins for your ipads or phone and custom graduation party invites. can't wait to see how our seniors react to all we have planned for them :)
